How Much Is Your Shuffled Deck Costing You?

How much time are you losing every day because you’re working from a ‘shuffled deck?’

I saw a simple experiment that perfectly explains why some people are effortlessly crushing it…
and others feel stuck struggling through basic stuff, feeling ABSOLUTELY DRAINED.

Here’s the scene:

Two people. Two decks of cards.

One deck is clean. Sorted. Every card exactly where it should be.
The other? A chaotic mess. Completely shuffled.

They both get the same instruction:

“Find the 7 of hearts.”

The first person flips straight to it.
3 seconds. Done.

The second person?
They’re digging… flipping… second-guessing… reshuffling…
45 seconds later, they’re still searching.

Same task.
Same intelligence.
Very different effort and experience.

If that’s how your marketing feels right now?

It’s not because you’re lazy.
Not because you “need more discipline.”
But because every time you go to do something simple…
You’re staring at a shuffled deck.

You want to ‘do marketing’ – but what does that even mean in the. moment?

So maybe

You sit down to send an email…
→ “Where’s my list again?”
→ “What tool am I even using?”
→ “Wait, do I have a plan for this?”

You have an idea to post on “social media” but you freeze…
→ “Should this be LinkedIn or IG?”
→ “Do I need a graphic?”
→ “Didn’t I have a process template for this somewhere?”

By the time you figure it out, if ever…
The moment’s gone.

That’s the hidden tax no one talks about.

Not the work itself, but the friction before the work.

Meanwhile, other Founders who look “consistent,” “disciplined,” or “on another level”…

They’re not working harder. In fact, they’re working way less hard than you are!

They’ve just already set up:
👉 what the plan is
👉 what simple tools they use
👉 what the next step looks like

So when they get an idea?
They don’t hesitate.
They execute with ease.

That’s it.

No friction. No delay. No mental drain.

And that speed creates faster results:

  • More Awareness.
  • More Relationships.
  • More Clients.
  • More Impact.

All because their deck is organized.

If you feel like everything takes longer than it should, or so draining to think about you can’t even take any full action?

It’s not you.
It’s your lack of strategy and systems.

Clean up your deck once and watch how much faster you start moving without trying harder.
