I was talking with a family member this weekend and he was telling me about an old friend who had a really successful tow truck company. If you got the short version, it would sound like an overnight success.
“He started his own company, and had tons of clients and revenue right away, and was able to grow and expand incredibly.”
What’s not part of that story is,
“He was a tow truck driver for 10 years working somewhere else and he ended up creating great relationships with all of the car dealers in the area. When he decided to start his own company, they all wanted to start working with him.”
The real success actually came from the time spent building up the relationships with his ideal customers. Not because he filed an LLC or bought his own truck.
The old saying “your network is your net worth” is as relevant today as ever.
The issue is that people get confused with digital marketing because it’s not sitting at a table and shaking someone’s hand in person. But the same principles apply, it’s just through a different vehicle and experience (a much more scalable one actually, so you can reach and impact more people).
It’s still about showing up and being seen consistently as a valuable resource.
You connect through social media posts or getting found on Google.
You deepen the relationship through videos, DMs, email opt ins and follow ups.
Then when the time is right, presenting a valuable offer that solves a problem they want to solve.
If you haven’t started building your own audience to grow your business, but you know it’s time to start, check this out.
We have a great program that walks you through the key steps you need to take to make this happen so that you can reach and impact more people.
It’s called the Audience Building Workshop, and you can get it right here – https://thegrowthsuite.com/audiencebuildingworkshop/
