If you’re looking to dominate your market, you might want to look at your world from a different perspective…
In today’s world, it’s not about being a huge fish in a huge pond. That’s how you waste time and energy trying to be everywhere and please everyone.
That’s how you end up with a watered down message, and you’re drowning trying to keep up all over the place without really getting any traction or seeing the results you would expect from putting out all that effort.
Instead, it’s about being a valuable fish in the pond that needs you. Where your customers start seeing you as a leader. The best in the industry.
It’s how you build relationships faster and stronger, by focusing on the right people and message.
That’s how you can dominate. That’s how you can grow. And that’s how you can establish long term, sustainable success.
Forbes featured my advice here on how small businesses can dominate their market and be the go-to brand in their industry.
Dominate A Single Niche
Get extremely specific about the audience you want to target. Clearly identify their needs, pains and dreams.
- What is their daily life like?
- What shows and movies do they watch?
- Sports?
Then create content (blog posts or social posts) that is hyper-specific to them and distribute it via Facebook Ads to new people, as well as retargeting to your website visitors and people engaging with your social posts.
By narrowing down your audience, you will have the ability to target them more easily with a low ad budget, and appear to be everywhere to them.
Your messaging will also create a much deeper connection with them, so that they are more likely to want to move through the customer journey you’ve set up for them to lead them to your sales funnel.
